Who Is Blue Link ERP, And What Do They Do?

Blue Link ERP provides integrated inventory and accounting ERP software for small to medium size businesses and is best suited for those in the wholesale and distribution industry.

As an all-in-one system, Blue Link helps businesses streamline and automate their processes by providing inventory management, accounting, order entry, warehouse management, and customer relationship management. In addition, Blue Link provides various add-on components such as POS, lot tracking, landed cost tracking, eCommerce integration and barcode scanning and can be customized in order to meet the specific needs of clients.

Blue Link ERP is available throughout North America and the Caribbean and is offered as both a hosted (cloud based) and on-premises solution. These options provide clients the flexibility to decide which method best suits their business structure, with the option to switch between the two at any time.

The History of Blue Link ERP:

Mark Canes, President of Blue Link, started the company in 1992 after discovering the joys of software development while still working as a partner in a public accounting firm.  As a CPA, Mark’s accounting background provides many benefits when working with customers, and this combined with his IT knowledge has allowed him to provide feedback for improving the software on an on-going basis.

Even with Mark’s experience and background, he still credits the company’s success to the people he has been able to work with – including both colleagues and customers.  According to the man himself, “as important as technology has been in my career evolution, it’s consistently been the people who have added the most value on both professional and personal levels.” It is this type of mindset and the relationships that Blue Link as a whole has developed with customers that has made the company the success story it is today.  As a perfect example, our first client is still with us today, enjoying regular upgrades to the system.

Developing these types of relationships with our customers and employing a hardworking and dedicated team, has also contributed to our success as it provides opportunities for continuous innovation and great service and support.  Our team of consultants and developers work very closely with our support team to provide the most timely and effective support to our customers.  This tight-knit work environment allows our team to make significant customizations on behalf of our customers as needed, as we recognize that no two businesses are exactly alike.  Even though almost all of our customers enjoy the benefit of some type of customization, our software has significant out-of-the-box functionality, much of which is not typically available with systems in our price range.

Lastly, in today’s fast-paced world of technology, one cannot survive without continuous innovation.  Our software always takes advantage of the latest and greatest in technology such as mobile applications, bar code scanners and eCommerce. We improve our product continually, introducing new features on an on-going basis. Blue Link is under active development 100% of the time with exciting new features always in the pipeline, contributing to the continued success.

Why Blue Link ERP Partners with VL:

There are a couple of reasons why we are proud to work with Virtual Logistics as an integration partner, however the number one reason we partner with them is because of their customer service. Every customer that we’ve introduced Virtual Logistics to, has thanked us and been pleased with the quality of service, and that’s not been the case with other companies that compete with Virtual Logistics.  As we mentioned before, the relationships we build with our customers has contributed largely to our success today and therefore any partner we work with must also develop these relationships and provide an excellent level of customer service.  Virtual Logistics does this very well and shares many of the same values as Blue Link does when it comes to quality of work, customer service and innovation.

In addition, integration with Virtual Logistics has been established for eCommerce integration, EDI management, 3PL integration and more, with a proven success rate.  The company is very flexible with the integration options they provide.  As is the case with Blue Link, Virtual Logistics appreciates that there is not always a “one size fits all” model when it comes to software integration.  They are flexible when it comes to the level of integration in terms of amount of information and frequency of information that gets transferred and they work with the customer to determine this.
